We’re putting on a show at World Cafe Live Upstairs equipped with a line up that we’re extremely jazzed about. We’ve invited a few of our friends from over the years to perform. This is an ALL AGES show, ID check for everyone interested in partaking in some adult beverages. The suggested donation for the show is $5. All proceeds will go to benefit the State Street Project of Passage Theater in Trenton. An important member of our LNS production crew from a few years back Kate Benincasa, passed away last summer and we’d like to honor her by donating to an organization she was involved in.

State Street Project:
The State Street Project is the youth outreach program for Passage Theater, www.passagetheatre.org. Their website doesn’t feature the name The State Street Project as much as it should. You can go to this link as well http://www.passagetheatre.org/index.php/education/video-creative-dramatics

The State Street Project uses theater to give young students in Trenton positive self-esteem building experiences in theater. The main program is “Playmaking.” Students are taught the basic tenants of playwriting and then paired with a professional adult playwright to create a 10 minute play. The plays are then performed and directed by professional artists. This performance brings the community together to support and celebrate its youth.

Remember when we were situated in the Creese Student Center?

Well, due to a Drexel scheduling conflict, we’ll be in Creese this Thursday. This is a one time deal and we apologize for the last minute change. But don’t worry, the show will not disappoint! We’ve got a great feature lined up and an open list of sign ups.

Our feature this week is Flagship Romance , all the way from Jacksonville Beach, FL.

This Thursday marks the first show of LNS’ spring run and we are looking for students to join our production crew. All Drexel students from any major are welcome to join! You can opt to receive 0 or 1 credit and it can count toward any required ensemble credits. By joining you’ll be helping out with the set up and break down of the show, booking acts to perform as well as with marketing and social media for the show. The production crew meets at 7pm at Flux in the Intercultural Center, 33rd and Chestnut and stays until after break down. There are a limited number of scholarship positions for next fall that you can train for over the course of this term if interested.

If you are interested in joining the LNS production crew please come this Thursday at 7pm. We will have add/drop forms available or or can help out with the first show and see how you like it. For more information, email Julia at Jeb338@drexel.edu.

There’s a lot to celebrate tonight…

After tonight’s show, we will be taking a two week break for Drexel’s finals week and Spring Break. We will be back to kick off our spring run on April 4th with Maitland.

Also, tonight will be Nick Dolan’s last show on the production crew, make sure to give him a big bear hug if you see him!
